The Green Bay Professional Football Cheerleaders Alumni are teaming up with the Dancing Grannies to raise awareness for Old Glory Honor Flight's mission of 'Honoring our Local Veterans, One Mission at a Time' during the Appleton Flag Day Parade, America's biggest and best Flag Day Parade since 1950!
Fox Cities citizens have honored “Old Glory” since 1950, making the Appleton Flag Day Parade the nation’s oldest. This celebration annually attracts hundreds of participants and more than 50,000 spectators to Appleton.
The Parade Grand Marshal is always the United States Flag. Each year, the Appleton Flag Day Parade also pays tribute to a branch of the military. The Parade begins at 2:00 PM at the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and N. Oneida Street. The route travels west down W. Wisconsin Avenue to N. State Street, south on N. State Street to W. College Avenue. At W. College Avenue the parade travels east and ends at Drew Street. The Appleton Flag Day Parade has been broadcast on WFRV TV5 since 1989. Hope to see you there!
